AMA has developed, and currently owns and manages, residential and commercial properties spanning over hundreds of thousands of square feet in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Distinguished as Fayetteville's forerunner in the downtown condominium specialty, AMA has added over 80 apartments and condominiums around the Downtown Square and Dickson Street, and current and future projects propose an additional 200 over the next two years.

Richard Alexander

Fayetteville attorney Richard Alexander served on the Board of the Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas and currently serves on the Board of the FEDC. He is a member of the Historical Preservation Association of Washington County and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Rob Merry-Ship

Rob Merry-Ship has been building, managing and selling real estate property for more than two decades. He is a member of the Historical Preservation Association of Washington County and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Sheree Alt

Sheree Alt is one of the region's "Top 100 Realtors" and was voted "Number-One Real Estate Agent in Northwest Arkansas" in a poll by Northwest Arkansas Times. She serves on the Board of Adjustment and Sign Appeal for the City of Fayetteville.

The History of AMA

In March 2002 Richard Alexander, Rob Merry-Ship and Sheree Alt partnered to create AMA Real Estate Group, Inc., in Northwest Arkansas, but the co-founders had developed a history of collaboration in the interest of Fayetteville's downtown revitalization previous to the company's formation.

Alexander and Merry-Ship saw the openings of such downtown mainstays as the Walton Arts Center and the Brew Pub in the early 1990s as their cue to get involved in something excitingly worthwhile and very significant—central Fayetteville's redevelopment. The Rollston Building was one of their first projects, which consisted of converting a one-story warehouse into a stucco building with two restaurants downstairs and six luxury apartments upstairs. Completed in 1995, the building represented one of downtown's first mixed-use developments.
